Spencer Lacrosse London

League Week 23

Purley 7 – 12 Spencer 7

The 1st team won their final game at Purley to wrap up a successful season. A dominant start to the game resulted in an 9-1 lead at the half so it was a great fightback from Purley to bring it back to a 5 goal game. However Spencer always had enough in hand to bring home the win.

On reflection this was a nearly season for Spencer. A few key games were lost by only a couple of goals, which could of made for a title challenge or a longer cup run. Subject to Hillcroft’s final two games, Spencer will be placed either 3rd or 4th in the Premier Division.

Spencer 2’s 10-C-0 Colchester

Match conceded by Colchester for very valid reasons. There is a return fixture on 26th March at Colchester which we hope can be played.

Epsom 7 – 8 Spencer 3’s

A potential season saving win for the Spencer 3rd team. More info to follow but scorers were Chris Jones (3 goals), Ross Hudson (3) and Andrew Mottershead (2). One game left, the visit of Welwyn 2’s on 26th March. A win in that game still might be required. It’s gonna be tough but the Spencer 3’s will be going 100% out for another win.
