There is a thriving junior section at Spencer Lacrosse which continues to grow and caters to boys and girls of all ages and abilities. New Players Welcome
As always, juniors players new to the club or new to Lacrosse are very welcome. Parents please call or email our junior coordinator, Peter Compton so he can give you all the information you need. Pete’s contact details are on our Contacts page.
Junior Equipment – Club Policy
Lacrosse specific equipment - a stick, helmet, gloves and arm and chest padding and a 'pinny' (that's lacrosse speak for a reversible bib) are all available to borrow. Players will really benefit from owning their own stick as soon as possible and should look to obtain their own set of equipment – as soon as birthdays and Christmases allow.
For most events players will generally need to wear sports clothing. As with the seniors, most games are played on grass with the occasional game on artificial pitches - suitable footwear will be required.
The club provides playing jerseys for games.
Safeguarding
Spencer Lacrosse Club adopts England Lacrosse's Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Lacrosse Policy, Procedures and Guidance to ensure all those in the lacrosse community have a safe and positive experience.
Coaches, players and parents in a position of responsibility for Juniors in our Programme are expected to follow Spencer Lacrosse Club's Principles of Safeguarding Good Practice
