The Spencer Lacrosse Club was formed in 2000 through the merger of the Kenton and Beckenham Lacrosse Clubs. Spencer brings together the best of the old Kenton and Beckenham clubs – a tradition of playing hard on the pitch, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse.
The club is growing fast and in 2018 added a junior girl's programme to its thriving junior boys and mens programmes. For the 2019/20 season the club has also launched two women's teams which means Spencer now offers lacrosse for all.
When do we train or play lacrosse?
Lacrosse is a winter sport in the UK. The season runs from September to April. For the men, league and cup games are on Saturdays while for the women, games are usually on a Sunday. Most games are played on grass fields although a few clubs play on astroturf/3G fields. Our junior boys and girls train and play on a Sunday morning, check out the 'juniors' section of the website for all the latest info.
For the men, in-season club training, on the Spencer astroturf, is Monday evenings 7:30 – 9:45pm while the women train at Battersea Park 8pm - 10pm on a Tuesday evening.
