After much debate the Southern League has been restructured based on decisions made at the recent SEMLA AGM. I’m sure the details are on another web site somewhere, but basically we think these changes will make for better lacrosse in the South.

The major news for Spencer is a combined team of the Walcountian Blues ‘A’ and Spencer ‘A’ teams, imaginatively called Wasps (nothing to do with the rugby club!). The Spencer 1st team remains the same.

Both the Spencer and Walcountian second teams suffered last season from cancelled fixtures, player injuries and minimal squad numbers. By joining forces, player numbers are assured and will provide a healthy mix of young, old, experienced and novice players.
