Spencer Pinball Lacrosse Starts 8th June 2017

Spencer’s summer 2017 pinball lacrosse programme for players in school years 2 & 3 is up and running. A non-contact version of field lacrosse, using a ‘soft’ ball, Spencer’s pinball sessions are designed for all primary school age players, especially those new to the game.

What?

This is a chance to try something different – to be introduced to the skills and fun of lacrosse using real sticks but with rules adapted for younger players and a focusing on co-ordination and skills development.

When?

June Thursday 8th 6.00 – 7.00pm July

Thursday 6th 6.00 – 7.00pm

Thursday 15th 6.00 – 7.00pm

Thursday 15th 6.00 – 7.00pm

Thursday 22nd 6.00 – 7.00pm

Thursday 29th 6.00 – 7.00pm

** Where?**

Cricket is presently being played at The Spencer Club on weekday evenings so these sessions are being held on Wandsworth Common alongside Bolingbroke Road – opposite the end of Broomwood Road (see map below). This is a public open space and there are no toilet facilities so players (and parents) will need to be suitably ‘prepared’.

Need?

Players just need sporty clothing – equipment will be provided. The first week will be a free trial for all. There will be a single £5 fee to cover the remaining sessions for those who continue. If possible, please advise beforehand by email if your child is intending to come along to assist with managing resources and allow us to advise if we are defeated by poor weather.

Please also complete the parental consent form contained within this PDF.

Following on?

Players who would like to continue to play Pinball or progress to Field Lacrosse will be able to join our ‘regular’ Sunday morning winter season starting in early September at The Spencer Club. COME AND TRY on Thursday 8th June!
